A funny spin on going from the high chair to a chair & table set.

Observation: Child had been sitting in highchair throwing food across the room.
My Question: Why?
My Answer: Communicating because he can't speak yet.
What is he saying? He is done with his food and wants out really bad, -food flying from chair into room...
Solution: Table and Chair set cut down to his size. Now he can get up when he is done and soon bus his own table.
Results:
*Very happy to sit down for meals.
*Doesn't through food anymore.
*Sense of independance (happy)
*Stretching concentration by thinking & remembering manners & habbits in a new way.
*Establishing order
*Coordinating movements
*place mat with outlines for placement. -He really likes this.
